Blanket
A blanket is a swath of smooth cloth large enough either to cover or to enfold most of the user's body and thick enough to keep the body warm by trapping radiant body heat that otherwise would be lost through convection and radiation.Blankets do not produce heat, except in the case of electric blankets. Instead, they act as thermal insulators by trapping still air within their fibers. Because air conducts heat poorly, these trapped air pockets reduce heat loss by conduction and limit heat loss by convection. Breathability affects this balance: highly breathable blankets are more comfortable and better at releasing moisture, but they usually retain less warmth than less breathable, more insulating blankets.
